Behind the Chair

JJ's Notes.

Small things clients say, patterns I notice, and the lessons that make the next consultation more thoughtful.

Client Language

“Natural” is not one look.

Some clients mean barely there. Others mean soft enough for a bare face, but still visible with makeup. The word starts the consultation; it does not finish it.

Consultation

A reference photo is a starting point, not a stencil.

The useful question is what you love in the photo: the lift, softness, texture, balance, or outer corner. That feeling can be translated without copying another person's eyes.

Design Process

Feedback after you wear the set is part of the work.

“A little shorter in the center” or “more visible with makeup” is not a complaint to avoid. It is information that makes the next version more personal.

Retention

A rhythm is more honest than a promise.

Instead of giving every client one guaranteed number, I would rather watch how your lashes wear and help you find a refill rhythm that fits your real life.

Not sure what to book? You can still book.

Bring a photo, a feeling, or simply “I want to look more awake.” We will start there.
